ABOUT

Mission:
The mission of Root Out Racism is to address systemic racism  in the green industry through positive representation, education, conversation, and financial philanthropy.

Vision:
We aim to recognize the uniqueness, existence, and contributions of underrepresented people in horticulture.

We started this site to support Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Opportunity in the Horticulture Industry. When searching BIPOC owned nurseries there was little information. Most of the articles are on food justice and farming. This organization is designed to showcase BIPOC in ornamental horticulture.

Use this information as a tool to help lift up BIPOC voices, to learn about the issues, and to start meaningful conversations.

Together we can Root Out Racism in Green careers and be a leading force for positive change.
